Just asking? It's a mature forum can't see why people aren't allowed to use the odd expletive.

Because it's much more ******* interesting to see these ******* stars and guess what the **** the poster has posted.Besides if every Tom **** and Harry were allowed to say what the **** they like we would end up with posts full of expletives and i'll be ****** if i'm reading that **** all day, long **** myself laughing

As you say, we're a mature forum and as such we respect the wide range of views on this sort of subject.
Swear filter is there to remind us not to swear just for the sake of it. Used in context a blind eye is turned, blantant childish use of it gets deleted.

The Jackel nearly got the word 'Fork' banned was for using it too forking much.
Can we have a private/ password required area on the site where we can say what the fork we want ?

There was indeed quite a to do over the word fork, which resulted in the word fork being said by the gentleman in question a record number of times.
Speaking of which, where is the old bugger? Is that a swear word by the way?

This site sometimes reminds me that some on here are old monks not mature adults if you know what i mean, i mean that some of you do not swear which is b o l l o c k s.
What as this site turned into as it turned into a site for bloody do gooders.
I my self have son going on 16 do i let him look on this site the answer is no i do not want him to thats why .
The reasons i donot want him to, is because i want a site for adults and not kids.
For those who say the kids look on the site when they are looking i will ask this question ,when you are f u c k i n g the wife or husband or having a w a n k or a fingure f u c k or watching a porno do you let your kids watch i think not .
So why do you let them see the site does anyone get my point ?
Keep this site for adults and not for kids which it should be already AND IF IT IS A ADULT SITE WHY NOT SWEAR .
For the old monks and do gooders on this site you will know who you are and so will the rest of the adults on this site YOU MAY ASK YOUR SELF HOW WILL THEY KNOW IM A DO GOODER ARE AN OLD MONK.
This is very easy to spot all you have to do is read the comments and replys to threads SIMPLES SQUEEK.
Ok i have a son of nearly 16 and he goes to an all boys school donot get me wrong he is no angel you see i do a lot of pirating of pornos and all that and i just have them on my desk i have nothing to hide.
Why i am saying this is i trust him ok he as probley watch them i think thats ok he would have watched them on is own are with mates.
With him going to a all boys school i would rather he watches a good porno that way i know he will not turn gay and be stright lol.
I all have a feeling he watches them because on day i had a pile of pornos on my desk and one night they went missing i said to the wife have you moved the disc's she said no then it clicked that little s h i t must have them so i left it for a few days then i asked him have you touched any discs on my desk you know what kids are like he said no.
I said i want them back on my desk next day whallla what turned up my pornos i said to him i thought you did not have them he turned round and said i picked them up thinking they were games lol.
On saturday he is staying out with some m8's at a m8's house i bet he will take a couple of porno's lol.
Why i have said this about my son is that ok kids do look at what they should not do but they do but donot let them look when you are looking get my point.
Old m8's on this site should know me by now as a down to earth good bloke i hope lol nothing phases me and i am no angel you can tell this by the 666 lol.

Chill out doug. Swearing in every post just isn't neccessary (and please stop spacing the letters, I'm sorry if you don't like the rule, but that doesn't mean you have the right to ignore it ). Kids swear for the sake of it to look cool. Adults use it in context.
I swear a lot, all the time in fact on the ps3 as anyone will confirm. I try not to swear in my posts though because swear words are strong words that have too much emotion in them which can too easily be read the wrong way on a forum. Besides that i try to respect the views of people who don't want to be seeing swear words all over the place, they're viewed as rude, insulting, childish. I guess we have to remember that what's a swear word to one is normal conversation to another.
We've respected your "need" to swear by turning a blind eye most of the time, how about returning the favour and posting without swearing for a while? ;)

This to all admin and mods of lmzf to solve this swearing or not on the site why dont you have a voting system on this lmzf site to see if you should allow swearing on this site or not.
I will bet their is a lot that want swearing on this site as they are adults and take it or leave it because it is in every day life.
I will bet that their are those that donnot want swearing and those that will sit on the fence that donnot give a dam about swearing .
So once and for all lets have a vote on swearing:gr8

No need Doug, swearing can be taken out of context and cause all sorts of upsets e.g i could say "That Jackel fella is a right fucking ******" and mean it, this would cause offense.
Used with careful consideration to others, and in very light hearted banter swear words are not much of a problem - it's just when an argumentitive post crops up, we don't need everyone calling each other swear words.
So although we turn a blind eye to the spaced swearing or cryptic (fork) swearing, we will always use the filter, and if necessary delete posts altogether to try and maintain a good natured community.
In all fairness Doug you were dragged into this thread by other members commenting on how you post, nearly everyone knows how you word your posts, and they do turn a blind eye.
But we don't need a vote, and we do have a strict set of rules that we try to work to as closely as possible - it isn't much to ask really :) and by signing up here , you and every other member have agreed to abide by them.
Now **** off :rofl

This comment, followed by some other members words actually caused Doug to come into this thread and defend himself.
We all know that Doug swears a fair bit, but i think you'd agree that this thread has provocked him into digging a bit of a hole for himself - in a way this thread could be seen as baiting (even if it was meant to be in good jest).
This humorous baiting is no different from swearing in my mind - it has caused Doug to become defensive and get into a confrontation with anyone who wants to have a go.

That post you quoted is mine, and I'm afraid you've completely mis-interpreted it. I like Jackal, and that was a joke comment in reference to the hard time he's had here from admin members. I happen to agree with him that you should be able to express your points with colourful language, i've never been offended by anything he's said on here.
I am however offended at your suggestion that he has come into this thread to defend himself against a comment i made, particularly seeing as I have defended him on this subject before.

Na M8 it was not you who got me to say something on this thread i will not tell you who did thoe, but their is a lot of lmzf m8s who are sick to death with being told that you cannot swear on this site and do adult things with out some admin getting on their high horses i could tell about 60 are even more who think the same way as me.
Like i have said before i donnot give a shiiit about lmzf now really because most m8s who i have got on my friends list they know me and i know them and they will not let me down.
So if their is anbody on my ps3 friends who does not want me on their friends list please remove me.

Okay, well lets all lighten up a bit before we're all banned for making jokes as well as swearing.
Some of the threads on here are so ridiculous for a mature site that you have to laugh, but the way I see it is
that as long as we can have a laugh and a joke while we're posting in these threads there's no harm done is there?
Haven't we all got more important things to worry about at the end of the day, than anything that is written or said on here?
