Trouble accessing forum

Hi peeps,

AM having a spot of bother regarding the forum lately. When I first switch on my PC and load up the LMZF site it takes ages to get on, mostly I get "connection timed out" notices. After about five minutes the site loads ok :unsure I can browse any other sites during this time period so am at a loss as to what is causing this. I am using Firefox V3.6.2 with WinXP and have Zonealarm, AVG and Ad-Aware running in the background but have had no problem with these running until recently. Any help is greatly appreciated as this is now starting to annoy the hell out of me :D

Hmmm have you tried using a different browser andy?

Can't see why it would take that long. Header graphics have been stripped down and google analytics disabled.

Give chrome a go. It takes 2 mins to download and install.

Also are you using an old bookmark? Try clearing all your cookies and typing Lmzf.com in your adress bar. You could be accessing lmzfclanforum and being redirected.

Hopefully someone more techy will be along soon :rofl

Try disabling one of zonealarm, avg or adaware in turn (only briefly whilst trying to access LMZF) and see if turning one of those off makes a difference. Make sure you turn them back on though ;) It might be something scanning web based traffic causing the problem. It's a bit strange you're getting it in two different browsers otherwise I'd have said clear cookies and temp internet files etc. How long have you had Firefox installed and did you import settings from IE?

Have been using Firefox for as long as I can remember, and yes have already tried clearing cookies and cache etc. It happened again not 5 mins ago and not able to load up the forum so installed Chrome and even that would not load the forum. I did notice that Java Console 6.0.03 was disabled in Firefox so have re-enabled it and the forum loaded straight away, maybe that was the problem? :huh

Yes I was using LMZFclanforum in my bookmarks so have changed it to the LMZF.com and see what happens :$

Tapatalk anyone? Cause the delta room is password protected I can't get in using tapatalk, keeps coming up saying mailbox full or summit. Please help as I'm missing the delta love whilst I can't access it.

i've just tried logging on on the ps3 and didn't get the option to enter my PW, username was there but thats all

Apparently there's a blank White box next to username, click and it'll let you enter password

Don't know how to fix it sorry :$

white box is for username, just no PW box... av managed tho by clicking on a locked section which gave the login screen

i'm having trouble veiwing the forum from my ps3 now...i can only see part of it...but it says my username is invalid or somthing..and i dont have access to the rest of it....i was viewing it ok..but since yesterday i cant see the most of it now!...any ideas?

Do you mean you can only view certsin sections/threads or you can only see parts of the forum graphically?

sounds like the same problem i had, just select summit that is locked and it'll work then

i can only see certain parts of it....when i go to the home page..then select forum...it only shows me..the new member section,,the shopping area...and a couple off other bits...just keeps saying my name is invalid!

Up until last night I logged into the forum via the PS automaticly, now I cant! like above no password box and I cant foce one to appear I never had to before, must be the new PS update cleared my password save? will try the locked thread suggestion later, can you maybe have a login screen via the help box?

The password box is the same box as the user name box.

Try using Google chrome buddy see if that helps at all. I use Google chrome and its by far the best.

I cant view the vbcms comments forum or whatever it is. Was in new posts - something about 'season 5 is imminent'.

Also was getting the error message about waiting 10 secs between posts but that seems to have stopped now. Using Firefox 3.6.3 on Ubuntu 10.04.

With his new extra long name, when pappasmurf22 aka pappasmurfette has made the last post in a thread, the little blue blox that allows you to go to the last thread is hidden on the right. Any chance we could widen this box a bit to accommodate?
