I thought that there was a thread already for suggestions but I can’t find it. Please move this if there is.
I know that we have only just tweaked the site but I have a couple of ideas that would make my life a little easier.
New post screen. Would it be possible to have a “read first unread” link? At the moment I click on the thread header and then on the first unread link. A 50% efficiency :D
My spelling is awful. Is it possible to have a spell checker in the quick reply and/or advanced editor?
I don't know how difficuly any of this is to do and nether are exactly high priority but would help me.

We might be able to do it with vb4 boomer. Just around the corner.
Good ideas :gr8

Not sure about the read first unread thing Boomer, but there is a spell checker in firefox...
you need to add a dictionary - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3366
Firefox will then auto spell check for you... I just installed it myself and it works just like word :gr8 - right click on an underlined word and select the correct spelling.

How about a page refresh once you move the mouse like facebook does? Just removes the need to keep clicking new posts. Just a thought.

Chrome already has a spell check built in.
Doesn't the PS3 text entry thing suggest words as you type? If you can get the first letters correct then check in the box to the right for the full word.

I thought i'd put an idea for the forum in here rather than start a new thread...
In case no-one noticed i've been playing a lot of co-op recently and enjoying it, but it can take a few PM's to organise games sometimes...
so i was wondering if it was worth making a small sub section of the forum to cater for the co-op gamer?
I'll even offer my services to help keep it tidy...
I just thought it would be easier to have an area for people who want to play co-op, so games can be organised easier?
Just an idea, and if someone has a better idea to help the co-op gamer please speak up :gr8
Many thanks
Scott

There's usually a few threads under each game, but they can get lost in there so fair point.
Working on a few tweaks so will put it in the pot - cheers Scott.

I booted up on Thursday and there were about 8 buddies on BFBC2. I PM'd all of 'em to ask if they were playing Onslaught mode. Had loads of replies - some were, some weren't.
I think if you're playing the co-op version of a game it doesn't take a second to change your comment to CO-OP.

Can we have an ego search please? You know a 'your posts' button or link as I often know I've posted somewhere but can never find it again to check for replys/updates. All other vb forums I use have this feature. Thanks :)

Funny you say that - I can do this via Tapatalk but not through the webpage.

Just click on your name on the left>view profile>find all post, it will list every post you've made, most recent first:gr8

Nice - didn't know that was there :gr8
But...................
Not quite right. What I mean is a thread view rather than a post view. Just like what you get when you click 'new posts' but only with threads you've either started or commented in ;)

Setup in your options the subscription option to in control panel only. Then you can view every thread you have posted in from Quick Links->View Subscriptions
Functionality is already there.
Edit:
More correctly. Settings->General Settings->Default Thread Subscription Mode: Change to Through my control panel only (unless you want it to email you etc)
Then Quick Links->Subscribed Threads.
Only works for threads you post in after setting this option but you can always manually subscribe to other threads from the thread tools menu.

wow thats complicated but thanks :gr8
a button or link would be easier tho so its there by default for everyone and then you can keep your important subscribed threads separate from your spam threads. But that will do for now - cheers Rockie :)

Sorry to ask again but is there any update on a co-op section? Or is it a no go?

Sorry to ask again but is there any update on a co-op section? Or is it a no go?If I'm honest, my suggestion would be to post a new thread regarding co-op within the game you want to play co-op on and get a member of staff to sticky that thread so it doesn't become lost.
Would this be easier?

Thats fine as long as Admin don't mind :)
Just thought it would be easier to have it in a sub section... like you've got family games and stuff

Not really. Once setup it's then all done for you from then on. In my opinion this should be setup as default in the admin panel though.
